The Decemberists have released the album cover for their upcoming release, The King Is Dead, out January 18, 2011 via Capitol Records. According to a press release, the album will be “a simpler shade of stripped-down Americana,” as opposed to 2009’s “rock opera,” The Hazards of Love. Thank goodness for that. Posted by: Eric Garza
