Black Mountain-Wilderness Heart

Imagine you made a road trip CD composed of your favorite Black Sabbath tunes then threw in some of your favorite folk songs to change the pace and you have a good idea of Wilderness Heart.

The third album from this British Columbia based band reduces its previous albums psychedelic edge and focuses on down and dirty lyrics with a sound to match. The Hair song is a great way to sum up the album because it provides the listener that rough edge with a beautiful poetic flow to soften it.

Stephen McBean and Amber Webber ,combine their vocal talents in Roller Coaster to give the song a dark edge that produces a deep sound and even deeper meaning while on the folk note Radiant Hearts provides the album with an eerie tale that flows from the speaker to the ear like a haunting electrical current.

So sit back and enjoy the roller coaster of emotion that is Wilderness Heart. It provides an entertaining ride that will have you holding onto your seat while anticipating each and every turn.
