Now here is something you will appreciate. This is the cover to “Circus Mirrors” the EP from Austin’s Kevin Jack and Drastik. They came together to make this one count and it does not disappoint. My favorite track has to be ” Dark Side of the River”. He’s rumored to be working on his first solo project so be on the look out for that. Check Drastik out at the Dom Kenndy show on Sept. 3rd in Austin

Mr. Trill OG himself was on hand this weekend at Austin’s own Nice Kicks. To coincide with Bun B’s Trill OG album release, the Nice Kicks shop partnered with the legendary rapper for a memorable in-store event. Many fans, from across Texas, came to meet and greet Bun B and partook in some great UGK music thanks to DJ Protege and DJ Mike Swing. Fans also got the chance to purchase an exclusive, in-store only Bun B x Nice Kicks tee to match their recently-purchased Trill OG album.

Tupac Shakur in the Library of Congress
Under the terms of 2000’s National Recording Preservation Act, the criteria for preservation by the Library of Congress are that the work be “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant” and be at least 10 years old. Nominations were gathered from online submissions from the public and from members of the National Recording Preservation Board.
In its citation for “Dear Mama,” the NRPB called the song a “moving and eloquent homage to both the murdered rapper’s own mother and all mothers struggling to maintain a family in the face of addiction, poverty and societal indifference.”
